Hallo Mates,
Can somebody help with the paddels?
I have an M5 SMG stearing wheel with paddles.
can someone help me how to connect the wires?
I found the 2 wires in the gearbox .. one is green/blue other is grey/blue.
to the paddles go 4 cables.. blue/green , blue/grey ,ground and some other red cable that also coneect the paddles with each other..
did not undestand how that should work... if i would have the SNG gearbox.. how my gearbox would know that i use the paddles if the bluegrre and bluegrey cables dont go to car.. ? they are just connecting the paddles with each other.. the only 2 cables that leaves toward the cars are both ground...
if you push the paddles then the ground and the bluegreen or the bluegrey cable have conection..
but i dont understand why thouse bluegreen and blue grey cables dont go into car..
i also conected only the UP cable to the gearbox,.. but dont work..
maybe someone can help
thx

I got an SMG paddle shifter steering wheel retrofitted to work w/ my STEPtronic ... yes it's been done the wiring mod is done on the steering wheel coil spring.
The link provided above is basically what you need it's pre-wired from the steering wheel coil spring to the STEPtronic shifter.

Those members that got it working are the people behind those company ... I guess something are not for free.
You have to take the consideration those that sell the kit are not selling just the how-to but they actually sell the part that already modified.
GL on your journey!
