This procedure has worked fine for me. However, new problem - it's been a couple of months since I did the state inspection and emissions check, and I didn't get around to resetting the alerts until now. And now they come up RED when I cycle through them, instead of yellow. I can't get the "RESET?" option - it just goes to the triangle with exclamation mark, and then on to the next item in the list. Anybody know how to solve this?

U HAVE 2 HOLD THE ODOMETER BUTTON N WITH THE CAR N AUX (MEANING POSITION 1). THEN ALL UR SERVICE OVERDUE LIGHTS WILL COME UP GO 2 EACH 1 AND RELEASE THEN PRESS IT AGAIN AND THE RESET WILL SHOW PRESS AGAIN AND IT WILL RESET.
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE THE PUSH START DONT PRESS THE BRAKE AND START THE CAR THEN DO THE SAME THING

Hey guys,

My Dutch system has 2 more lights, one for exhaust emissions test and 1 for the annual check (APK).
I cant seem to reset them the same way as the others, they just pop back to the exlemation mark instead of showing reset.

Does anyone have any idea?

Edit: I believe its called "Inspection" in english systems.

I am in the same boat with the Red alerts instead of the Yellow, any tips or suggestions on how to remedy these?

I had the same issue - inspection due and emission due. I used the mentioned method but it did not work. No RESET wording, just went back Triangle/exclamation mark.

U can reset the Service Due from the idrive. No need to use the trip reset button.

Which model year you are talking about ? My understanding is that for 2005 and 2004, there is no iDrive menu to reset Service Due. Later model years could.
