Hi,

Loving my 530d E61(N) 2008 but want to swap my cloth for leather.

The car is factory fitted with part electric (with electric lumbar support) non heated cloth, and I have found a set of part electric (no electric lumbar) heated leather from a same year E61 (and M Sport seats I think with the extending thigh support).

So question is will the leather seats work ok when plugged in (albeit without heat) or will the different wiring set up in the plug confuse the car?

If they are ok, is there any way I could use the car's supply for the electric lumbar support to feed the heating element circuit and keep me warm?

Any help very much appreciated

i changed the seats in my car
used to have 2005 525i with sport seats heated , replaced with seats from 550i 2008 - everything worked well , later on i got 2008 535i with regular non heated seats , i put 550i sport heated seats - everything works fine …all levels of heat , was worried about programming .. the only thing i am missing i thing i should have it in the drive to change heat distribution ..maybe i am mistaken , retrofitted heated steering wheel as well , but you need to program new module to work properly , after wheel retrofit i got heated option , but turn signals did not go off by themselves , cruise was not working , dcs was not working
