Has anyone fitted OEM xenons to an LCI with halogens?

Either adaptive or not.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks,

If BMW have a retrofit to fit LCI xenons to pre-LCI cars surely they can do that for LCI cars too. pre-LCI cars have been able to move from halogens to xenons in the past - so its doable (i guess).

Should be possible, if you don't want to replace the LCM you would have to use a relay for the angeleye as your uses a 10WBA9 bulb (I think) and the xenon uses 35W H8. Not sure how to load the angeleye to stop warning lighs though. Also you would need to use a capacitor for the Xenon bulb.

Most dealers don't want to know, but one has quoted ?2,200.00 all in including fitting H/L washers (this is for the non-adaptive xenons).

I would love to know how hard it is but info seems sketchy for what i want to do: LCI xenon in place of LCI halogen

Real OEM lists a kit for pre-LCI but not for LCI. I am told the kit is just cables and connectors and the lights are separate.

I am an electrical engineer by trade, so happy to tackle most things but obviously haven't access to coding etc without a dealer on board.

The Xenons would be ALC so the level adjust knob would be defunct - I know that.

One dealer told me you would have to fit self leveling suspension if you fitted xenons so he doesn't understand it is the headlights that self level - not the car.

I would be grateful if anyone knows the parts I would need.

Thanks,

David.
