I don't know if it is the fastest way , but you might have to pull the rear self it self out, which requires ,the back seat to be removed, and the trim from the "C" pillars too. Then the rear shelf. the speakers have to be un plugged to tottaly remove the shelf too.

Search for rear window sun shade install and there should be picts and instructions to remove it.
I don't know if this will help you out, but some people that have put stereo's in have had to do it too.

Thanks for the reply, I think they are just friction fit and possibly will lever out gently but just wondered if anybody had actually done it?
