Yes, I know it's overkill, but it's me underneath that car. I can't imagine my family without me because of a stupid jack problem.

I have recently ordered one of the AC Hydraulics jacks, and it has been an ordeal, and expensive, but again, you get what you pay for. This recent flooding of the market by these inferior 'made-in-china' hydraulic jacks, that only last a limited number of lifts, is crazy.

I guess it's the same thinking as the jack stands. You buy 3-ton rated stands for a two-ton car?
Where did you buy the AC Hydraulic floor jack ? I could not find it. I bought OTC instead. I used 2 tons jack stands to support the car and it was fine. I have 3 tons jack stands but have not used it yet.

I wouldn't work under a car up on any jack - that's what stands are for.

I actually emailed AC Hydraulics directly on their website, because I could not find their US distributor. They referred to me to order through their Canadian distributor. I would like to give you their name, but I'm still awaiting my order. I'm planning on doing a small write up on the experience once I have a chance to use the product.

Thanks for the info. I bought the OTC 5202 jack already which looks very much like the DK13HLQ except one thing - max. height not tall enough. It only goes up to 18". The min. height is good - 3". I am looking for the saddle extension for this jack to increase the max. height to 20" or so.

I am looking forward to seeing the usage write up.

I would be careful in that the rating for the DK13 is not very high.
What is your source for the ratings? Link?

The diff is not generally recommended as a lifting point - puts a lot of stress on the mounting bushes....
That's debatable.

What the diff is not a good point to jack up the rear ? There are no other spots in the rear to put the floor jack and jack stand. We cannot put floor jack in the rear jack pad (right in front of rear wheel) otherwise, we cannot put a jack stand there.

What about drive the rear to a ramp and then jack up the front to achieve all 4 wheels above ground ??

I meant just the opposite - that jacking at the diff is OK, depending on which kind of diff you have (with fins or without). I've posted about this before - you may want to search.

That's a link to the product info. I don't see any ratings there.

When you said that the rating wasn't high, did you mean user ratings (people who liked/didn't like the product), or the rated load for the jack? I may have misunderstood.
