Rear Brake pad wear sensor problem!!

As i was leaving wortk this evening my rear brake pad warning light flashed up -15000 miles overdue. I was on 9000 miles before. Checked the pads and there is over 7mm on them still. I tried to reset the light, but it still says -15000 overdue. Im guessing the sensor is at fault??? Which side are the brake pad sensors on? How easy it it to replace?? Can it be done by myself??

Inboard pad is the pad behind the rotor disc
Easy to change, Trace the outer part of your caliper, you will see a wire coming out, follow the wire toward a junction palstic box, you need to open this box, disconnect the wire harness from here. On the other end, the one connected to the pad, simply pull it out. To better grasp what the sensor harness looks like, Buy the brake sensor first.
You don't need to take the pads off
