Default Power steering cooler

We have a 2010 e60 with N52k engine.Five guys at work today debated on how to physically disconnect the Power Steering quick release hose (which is attached to the power steering cooler near the radiator). Pictures below. All five guys had a different idea, but none of the guys had ever disconnected this hose. Anyone out there disconnected this hose? Quick release below.

You should be using the same tool you disconnect a fuel line with.

Yes, the fuel line has a movable inside collar that pushes in the outer sleeve. This allows you to release the fuel line.

However, the power steering quick release hose on a 2010 e60 doesn't operate like that.

The white collar gets removed. Its a clip and comes off. Its like a flexible circlip.

When it comes off the hose is easily removable.

Wow, that was incredibly easy when you know what you are supposed to do. Thanks!
