I wanted to get a new look without paying thousands for wheels. I just pulled off the old chrome rims and had my local powder coat guy do it. He said the coating with stick right to the chrome. Powder coating will reflect the condition of the chrome, so if you have a lot of pits, your powder coating will show that. He only charged me $40 per wheel. So $240 total plus $10 per wheel for dismounting, remounting and balancing the wheels/tires. Total $280 for "new rims". Not a bad a look. Here are some pics:

Yeah, I am still unsure as to if I made the right choice. Matte black is probably the more popular, and easier to keep clean. But when that shiny black is clean, it look great.

The brake dust will tone them down. The gloss looks great with the bright silver..on mine it would contrast and rims would over power the silver gray. I have semi gloss for that reason. i meant shiny as in ooo or ahhh

It's kinda "freaky" to see the wheels on meat hooks!

MUCH better, you made the right choice.

Consider getting black grilles and having your roof vinyl wrapped in black to complete the look.
