FYI, I took my car to the dealer this morning, got a loaded alpha white 08 335xi loaner car. I think the 335xi is a little faster, but the engine is a lot louder than my 545i... Sorry, got a little carry away... Anyway, they repainted the whole bumper for me for free!!! And they were able to finish the job by 1pm! Other than the fact that they did leave some dirt on my driver seat and floor mat, I am very satisfy with the job that they did. I will post some pictures when I get home!!! (So happy)

With proper preparation repainted plastic parts will retain their finish quite well. I suspect that some previous touch up was done w/o careful prep. That said, your dealer seems to have taken care of the problem. Now, go enjoy your car !
