PASSENGER RESTRAINT FAILURE?

today we got into my car and when i turns the car on the heads up unit displayed sayin passenger restraint failure, it said something about the seat belt or tension had affected the airbag. does anyone kno wat this means???????? and do you knoe how much it cost to fix? has anyone had this problem before?

If you still have warranty, it's covered. The common problem is the mat sensor under front seat is broken/damaged. It might just a software reset or mat sensor replacement which will be very pricy $500+.

I had the same issue, turned out to be my passenger sensor mat in the passenger seat. It was replaced under warranty.


Passenger restraint fault
Faulty 0C3 Seat occupancy mat for passenger side. read out fault memory. found fault 95bb stored in sbsr module. as per SIB 72 02 06. Removed passenger seat leather and replaced foam/sensor mat. Enabled new mat and cleared fault memory.
Parts used:
no p/n given for the Sensor Mat
52-10-9-118-453 Seat Upholstery
