I want to change the breather filter in the oil separator. I know where it is and how to get to it but I want to know where I can get the newer style plastic vortex from an ONLINE...preferably UK stockist as thats where I am based. I plan to change the air filter and have read its a good time to change this item at the same time due to the similar access issues in changing both filters.
Just dont get the time to drive to a BMW dealer to pick one up. Delivery to my door is the best option for me but I can't find an online stockist.
I must admit I have not tried phoning around. The part number is 11127799366. The 2 pictures below shows what the item looks like.
Incidently here is a picture of the conventional foam filter...see below.
QUESTIONS
UK stockist where I can purchase ONLINE?
Anything I need to watch out for when changing this breather filter?
Is it worth using this vortex style over the conventional foam style filter?
Do BMW change this during routine servicing? It looks complicated compared to the foam item it replaces. See below.
regards
Kaz
