Refer to the PDF and if anyone has any problem with the file, let me know and I will post it again. This DIY is for 2004 525i with M54 engine.

Hi,
I know that this is an old post. Did you remember what torques were used to tighten the 6 oil filter housing bolts ? I am ready to do it in my 2005 530i with minor oil leak ....
Thanks,
Ching-Ho Cheng

Thank you for the torque value. I forgot to ask about the banjo bolt hose torque values too ...
What should it be when tighten the 19mm banjo bolts ?
Thanks,

Just did the oil filter gasket replacement. Went quite well except the power steering pump. It was held on to oil filter housing with 3 bolts, not 2 bolts. There was one behind the pump and with bolt head face down! My car has minor leak but I tried to clean up oil residue as much as possible with engine degreaser. I have not installed the housing yet because I am changing CCV at the same time. With oil filter housing and alternator out of the way, it had ample room to install new CCV hoses.
One thing about CCV replacement, I took the oil dip stick out and put in a new dip stick O-ring. When I installed dip stick back, it felt loose before I tightened the 13mm bolt. Was that normal or not right ? I kept pushing down the dip stick but it did not matter how much force I use, it was still loose.![Frown](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/sad.gif)
