Hi All;

I recently purchased the full M kit but with the M5 rear bumper cover. I hope someone has installed the M5 cover on a 530.

I found the install instructions, on line, for BMW's "M Aerodynamics Package Conversion", but I still have one question.

Do I cut he rear wheelhouse liner the same way for the M5 rear bumper cover as for the M kit rear bumper cover?

Thanks, Wayne

You dont have to cut the plastic for the M5 Rear bumper as it is as wide as the OEM, Its only for the M-tek that requires cutting.

Hello Wayne,
I am in similar situation?kind off...
I am still waiting for my M5 bumper. Could you please take some photos when you install the bumper to display how the diffuser interfering with the exhaust tip possibly causing melting of the inner edge of the diffuser. There are lots of members interested of this issue. It will be very helpful. I was going to do it to inform the fellow members but God knows how long will take me to receive my order from quad_m. Did you purchase your M-kit+M5 bumper from the same source? If yes, how long did you wait?

Thanks,
Georgio

I waited almost 4 months! I will install the rear bumper cover tomorrow. I have taken many pictures and will have several tips when all done. I intend to replace the stock single side with quads, but I will take a picture of the stock exhaust with the M5 rear bumper cover.

I finished the M5 rear bumper cover install today, I will try to upload the install process pictures and the "watch out for" list this week. The stock 530 exhaust (left side) will lay against and burn the left exhaust M5 opening, as others have reported.
