Hi guys.
So after a lot of reading I finally decided to upgrade my ccc unit so I can have sat nav as I had the basic with no nav. Firstly thank you to everyone who has explained in detail how to do this as without you guys I wouldn't have been able to do it. So anyway I have finished the retrofit and everything works fine but my I drive controller will not rotate on the screen. I can physically rotate it but will not scroll up or down on the screen. I can move the control UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, and it works but will not scroll. Also just to let you guys know I have not done any programming as I have no idea how it works.
Any help would be appreciated as I can not even reset my tyre pressure, lol
Thanks in advance

if you have a pre-LCI car and CCC, did you replace your i drive controller with the high version (with feedback?) if not, you'll need to code the CCC. otherwise, you'll need to replace the idrive controller with the high version.

Thanks for the reply, I have a pre-Lci car and I have not changed the I drive controller. I have only changed the ccc unit and screen. Does this mean that if I change the I-Drive controller then it will all work fine without any programming? And whats the difference between the controllers?
Thanks
Thanks

wow - quite a project undertaking without being able to do any programming. You really should give it a try - you will have some other fun projects you can tackle!

Haha I only realised after doing the retrofit and now I really do want to make it work. Is it easy to learn how to program and what things do I need in order to be able to program the new ccc unit? I live in west midlands, UK and if you guys think it's easy to learn the programming then I would like to give it a try. I'm a quick learner but wouldn't want to destroy my car lol

I suggest the programming route, but otherwise you need the "high" controller, part 65826941801. replacement does require you to at least lift the entire center console off it's mounts, it's not just the wooden trim that needs to be lifted. Quite frankly, the most PITA part of my retrofit. But back when I did it in 2008 we didn't have all of the coding resources and knowledge we have now.

Thank you for the link. I'm gonna buy the lead and software and I'll be getting to work with the programming so let's hope I don't mess things up lol
