hey guys i have the escort x50 blue and i hardwired it to my car under the rear view mirror. i followed the instructions on a form on here somewhere which told me to splice into a "green wire with a yellow strip on it". i then found the wire and spliced into it and grounded the other end...worked perfect and turn on and off with the ignition up until 2 days ago....i had it hardwired for almost 6 months with no problem. then recently the radar started to short out on me so i replaced it thinking it was defective...well the radar was perfectly fine but the connection was not good. i reconnected the wire and it kind of worked.....so i peeled off some of the plastic housing around the wire and reconnected it and worked great....for only a day....now i get nothing from the wire....no juice it seems like...i tried and tried to connect and reconnect the wire but i dont even get a little spark anymore..what can cause this to happen and what could be and alternate route into fixing this problem....guys i have that damn coiled wire connected to it now and it looks crappy....so u see where im coming from so please help me out....
