Does anyone know if you can "turn on" Blueooth functionality using NCSExpert? If so, what module/settings need to be changed? I need to replace my TCU and will install a BT capable version and have all other components in the car to make it work but don't want to take it to the dealer and can't find an independent shop to do it. I know it's dangerous and not easy but would consider trying it myself.
Thanks!
Thanks!

You will need to add the correct FA to the VO first.
Read out the trace from the TCU module and set :-
BT_ENABLE aktive
USED_MICROPHONES wert_01 (1 microphone) or wert_02 (2 microphones)
Read the trace for CAPPL (ccc_app) and set:-
BLUETOOTH_NODES_CCC profile_1 or profile_1 (not sure on this one, mines profile_2)
TELEFON_TYPE_C08 lots of options on this one (mines set to ece_phone for european mobiles)
PHONE_VERSION most-phone1-1mic
Read the trace for CCC_ASK (ccc-audio) and set:-
PHONE_VERSION most-phone1-1mic
There maybe be more options, hope this helps.

This is very helpful. How do I find out the correct FA? Is it on the FA list from one of your other threads? Also, what happens if I try these settings they are not correct? Do I fry the modules?

I have the same problem. I have removed BMW assist from my VO, because SOS failure. And I want to activate ONLY Bluetooth! Because I will install Dension 500.
So I think that $639 "BMW Assist with Enhanced Bluetooth isnt the best code to VO , since its including BMW assist.
Shall I add the $644 PREP. FOR. MOB. PH. BLUET. INTERF. ? And then code the TCUM?

Mine is 02/2004 built with CCC/Navigation and I just replaced the TCU with a 2008 part # 84109181276-01. I already added +K633 (does it matter if k is capitalized or not?) to CAS and LMA. Right now I cannot see BT_ENABLE (aktive) in TCUM. I have The SOS error showing already within a few minutes after starting the car. Is there a fiber optic cable that I need to connect/disconnect besides the ones on the TCU? Thanks in advance fellows.
