Got this working and tested.. Turns out I like it and the wife does also in her car.
It even works with Comfort Access which I thought was a problem when I first tried it out.
After driving, I press the stop button and the doors automatically unlock. Either the driver door only OR all the doors depending on preference setting in iDrive.

Its a lot of effort for a situation that will rarely (I hope) happen. You would be better going to the dealer and ordering a valet plastic key that will open the doors and keeping it on a separate key chain, or in your wallet / purse / phone case. The key will just open doors and the boot but not start the car...
Fairly cheap, quick and easy way to avoid this in the future.
