Hello bouys and girls (in case if any girls here)

I have purchased my second BMW 530i Msport pack.
Annoying thing - I have bort computer installed instead of Navigation. Anyone knows what do I need to buy and install to see the magic of Navigation appear on my dashboard instead of computer?

Help appreciated

May depend on where you are located. I don't think there is anything available in the US, someone is making one for Europe. Try searching on the parts/accessory/mods page -- someone posted something about it last month.

===================================

I asked my BMW dealer parts dept manager about adding the NAV. system to my e60 530i last yr, and he tells me it is VERY expensive to add NAV to the idrive, and would cost about $4000.00 and he went on to say that's if you can even do it!! He said besides BMW don't offer that as something I can add, and he would have a hard time getting all the pieces installed and then working right with the idrive.

He said I am better off to settle with a GPS NAV unit at Best Buy for about 350.00 that will do everything that the BMW unit will do, but will not work with my idrive controller, and work in our idrive screen, but they way BEST BUY Geek squad can install it professionally and looks good for 35.00... (I wish now I would had paid BMW's price of $1,800.00 for their NAV unit when I bought my 530i in 2004!!!)

Hope this helps!!

Also without factory nav, I recently bought/installed (on iDrive shelf) a Garmin nuvi 680 GPS, and I couldn't be happier. Widescreen, portable (for walking or other vehicles), integrated real-time traffic, cheapest local gas based on your location, movie times, weather, fully touch-screen "map draggable"...this thing is amazing. No, it's not integrated into iDrive, but the advantages outweigh that one disadvantage. (It even has BlueTooth and MP3 player built-in, but I already have both of those installed in my E60...)

You now funny thing I just saw that very same one the Garmin nuvi 680 GPS at Best Buy on Monday, and I was very impressed with it, and its voice to text also, and everything you said, it is amazing!! BEST BUY wanted 350.00 for it and another 450.00 which both seem very good units!! (It beats paying BMW $4000 trying to get a BMW GPS ((which are nice too)), to work in our idrives, and would be nice, but just to much $$$, and I am told by BEST BUY that these Garmin nuvi's all come with the same great GPS NAV software that updated!!)
