I am in the process of installing the Logic 7 amp. However, I need an optical fibre connection in the trunk.
I have found the I14255 in the WDS which carries the cables. In my 2004 E60 two green fibres go into that connector and two come out of it.

The Logic7 requires the X10633 connector:

Does anybody know, how I retrofit the X10633 connector for the Logic 7 system?

I have found, how it theoreical should look like, but no idea how to get there. I m not used in handling optical fibres...

Because I already upgraded to helix speakers and Eartquake SBS 8 under the seats. However, I don't like the sound quality at higher volume. There also is very weak bass.

Also I don't want to play around with high output to amplifiers when I can get an optical signal. The used amps are cheap to get, however installation seems to be quiete some effort.

Just spoke to my BMW dealer: They theoretically could make me a optical connection in the trunk but won't do it due to warranty reasons as they consider it to be a 'major change in the electrical system'. They are also not sure if they can programm the MOST system to recognize the L7 when no amp has been there before.

However they'll asked headquarters if there is a advice how to deal with my request....

No way to get this done by a BMW-dealer here in Germany. Though I added some bass another way to the car-audio yesterday.
