yep - not much in the way of real contributors anymore.

If you were to remove batteries and bulbs from allowable topics there would be nearly no posts at all.

LOL. Well, I'm still here but I never try to answer stupid questions anyway or at least a question that one did not put in his/her own thoughts on. It is starting to seem dead around here though.

okay
sorry I have not been on for a while but just got car back on Firday
During the time at the dealer the service manager let me work hands off but in close contact with the technician, I was able to bring and purchase my own parts and talked shop with the technician on and off hours. I wanted to make sure I wasnt getting ripped! the tech showed me how to use th BMW software and we got close enough for him to tell me about the DSS & SSS software and the orange OPS i purchased off the net... the NET programmer as I call it is made to work on 07 BMW's and below below but has been moddesd to work with 08 - 10 and with me using the NET program I damaged modules in my car and could not be cleared and reprogramed with the Dealer software.. so when I went to program my modules using SSS as SSS kept telling me to do before i was able to perform tasks with it, I did and caused irreversable damage. So I learned a valuable lesson to read and understand & have patience before use. I like to thank the ones who reached out for help and unfortunately I was on a timeline to get this fixed. So I have yet to hook my OPS back to my car and check anything and kinda affraid to but I still have to Add my iPod interface (scares me)
Thanks again and i will still be around learning and trying to help others based on my experiences and a $660 labor charge and about $1550 my cost in used module parts
