I just installed the 8500k GP Thunders in the Angel Eyes, but it's the middle of a bright sunny day here and when I did a comparison the Stock AEs were much more visible standing back a couple of feet. I will check them out this evening....

Hi guys, I have some white H8 bulbs that I've taken out from my previous cars, and they are 55W (13.2V). Does anyone knows if there'll be any problems if I try to put them in for my angel eyes (E60 LCI)? From what I read here, the bulbs should of 35W. Thanks!

Can someone kindly share if the H7 will come out the same way? I've been in there but not really sure how to get it out. Mine blew and I need to replace it.

Ladies and Feller's,
Yeah after you read this and see the pictures you will wonder why I posted as it is very easy to upgrade your bulb to a brighter bulb or that of a different color. This is only for LCI(Life Cycle Improvement) models only, and for this purpose it is for the 5 Series as I have a 528i.

The bulb is a standard H8 35W bulb, but does come in different colors and brightness.
When removing the bulb or more importantly when handling it, make sure you keep your fingers away from the bulb.
Bulbs don't like finger prints, dirt, grim etc... if you do get it on the bulb, clean the bulb with a terry cloth towel...

Put back in the same way you took out and your as good as done!
Enjoy!

as the title states this is for LCI e60's...you have a pre-LCI (2004 530i correct?)

so some searching with the search bar got me a few threads to help you out..

So basically, the headlight assembly needs to come out in order to get to the H7 bulb. I was hoping to avoid that, but if it has to, it has to...

yes

2008-2010 in the US are considered LCI's...

for your friend having a 528i + halogens, this does thread does not apply to that, as the LCI AE h8 bulbs are only for xenon headlights....

LCI: Life Cycle Impulse. Differences/changes can be found here: http://www.5series.n...led_Changes.pdf

Great step by step instructions, thanks. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like only the inner rings are whiter now, was I supposed to change out another set of bulbs somewhere?
