or you could just get a small piece of wood and place it on the jack and use the regular jack points that you would use with the factory jack. Ive done this 4 or 5 times and nothing has ever broken or messed anything up. It fast, easy, and doesnt cost anything.
+1000 - Great tip AWG, ever since I have started working on cars it was usually standard to stick a block of wood between the jacks plate and the car - just as SOP. Makes sense, it's cheap, and can be used on ANY car you have.

I love that scissor lift, just one question - HOW MUCH?!?!?! My wife is ready to order a lift for our house (when we get one), but a traditional one (the one with two pillars and lift in the middle) for around $2k, I really want to know how much the little scissor lift is in comparison. It would fit a lot easier into a regular garage.

+1 on the ECS jack pad adapter. I bought one recently and actually used it 2 weekends ago. Fits perfectly into the factory jack points of the e60 and my x5.

Ever tried the "block of wood" method? That ECS thing just looks like a good way to get people to part with their $$$.

+1 That's what I use. An adaptor would be nice, though. I just wouldn't use it enough.

We all like spending money, but a simple block of wood has always made do for me!

i got my jack from costco and i like it... pretty cheap compare to the other jackthat i got before... it is low profile also so you can easily slide in especially if the car is lowered... i cannot used emergency jack no more because when i use it, it scratches the side...

Part #9 is a jack pad in front that allows you to get both fronts up at the same time. Too bad there's not one in the rear.

Thats good to know. Have you tried jacking up the front like that? Was it stable?
