This is a possibility:
On the back of the armrest , there are 2 rear seat units mounted: one heater/cooler vertilation unit, and in my case an small box to put some stuff in. To remove the lower box, put 2 credit card like cards on the left and on the right side of this box, and insert them, now both mounitng clips will be released, and the box can be removed.
On the inside of the armrest, you see two nuts, unscrew these to loosen the armrest.
Now remove the rear seat by pulling on part where you sit on, you can just pull it off its not really fixed.
Remove the glovebox by unscrewing 6 screws on top, and 4 under at the foot compartment.
remove the plastic trim at the rearseat door, by just pulling it with your hands, do this also at the front-door, There is also a small plastic trim under the glovebox, that needs to be removed by pulling. Now you can place your cable from the armrest -> under the carpet -> rearseat carpet, -> side of the doors carpet -> glovebox.
Another possibility, is to lift the armrest as described above, and shove the cable under the console at the side to the glove-box directly, but this depends on how big your cable is its has to be thin for this.

Check out this post by Stream for a really simple route from the armrest to the glovebox.

I did the same thing with my ipod cable and it was really easy.
