So, my rear bumper reflectors came in today from BAVAUTO.
However, they didn't come with instructions for installation.
Looking at the kit, it seems I can just take a screw driver and pop the black inserts out, and pop the reflectors in. Is it as simple as it looks, or is there a trick to it?
It's the wife's Bimmer- I just get to rive it on occasion- I don't want to mess it up.. Any tips?
Hit a bump today, and the TPMS says I have a flat- I don't. Will run it by Discount Tire tomorrow to have the TPMS reset- and, to check all 4 tires too, to ensure I didn't pick up a nail, even though I was in the middle of the street when it happened.
Got the oil changed today too (where they added more air to the tires minutes before the indicated "flat" happened...
Should be good to go for the next 15000 mls, according to the service indicator.

Noooooo! Put down the screwdriver!
Just put a piece of fishing live, dental floss, or a thin shoestring behind the outside corner of the black insert. then pull it toward the license plate to compress the spring tab. It will pop out. Then, just push the reflectors in.

do you have an actual tpms, or just a flat tire warning system?
if you have runflats, they will look like they have air, but could be flat. you can also reset the tire flat monitor on the idrive.

FTM reset procedure is in your owner's manual - also available in the INFO section of this forum < https://5series.net/information/ >.

Thanks for the info folks! (About the fishing line, and other methods) as well as the warning (to put the screwdriver down!) LOL.
Whew!
I'll pop those inserts out, and reflectors in when I get home tonight.
As for the FTM, yes- Discount Tire reset that for me. When I had my car serviced, I guess the tire pressure was off, and the FTM is much more sophisticated than the TPMS in my other cars, it seems. The wheelspin speed difference due to the inflation being different caused the false flat tire notification. Discount Tire reset it, and within 2 miles of leaving the shop, the alarm cleared.
We've gone 1,000 miles since then...
Now, to get these POS Rotalla F1-5 tires off the car, and get it on a good set of Pirelli, Continentals, Kumho, or something in the Goodyear line that has an aggressive pattern and good looks. The tires look great, but no one seems to have heard of Rotolla tires- not even the guys at Discount Tire. I think the previous owner slapped on some BS tires to sell it- and we ended up with them.
