I was planning on installing the Hamann front splitter today, but needed clarification on what mounting parts I need to install it properly.

What about the left and right sides? I noticed that there are 5 holes on either side.
  • What size of bolts do I need?
  • What size of washers do I need?
  • Do I need any sort of mounting clips?

Frank, you didnt call the shop? You use 1 and 1/2 inch bolts/screw with the washer in each hole you see in the bottom of the splitter underneath the M-tech front bumper.

Thanks John. I've been so busy working, I haven't had time.

Any chance you know the diameter of the bolts?

I just went to Home Depot and bought 2 different sets/sizes of screws and washers. Worked perfectly.

Looks like I'm going to have to drill the other 4 holes on the M-tech bumper on each side, does that sound right?

I just ran 2 additional screws on each side, making it a total of 4 per side. As for drilling first, I would use extra long wood screws and go right in. I would not drill first, or you might not thread the plastic bumper and splitter, thus making a weak hold on each side. This is what my body shop guy did and is why he instructed me to get these types of screws for the sections that needed additional support. Then I got 2 other, really long screws that had built in washer heads already on them and had an allen key head, instead of your typical phillips or flat head. These are the 4 main screws that we used on the pre-existing holes.

Aw hell, I'm taking it in to the body shop Knowing me I'd end up screwing it up somehow.

Thanks Calton.
