Im not trying to beat a dead horse but im still confused about the MP3 capabilities of my 5er...I have a june 04 build date on my 5er does that mean i should have the software in it to play MP3's or do i have to wait with everyone else for version 12.0 update?

If so, when you go back to see if the box is ticked it won't be.
Activate the function in key pos 1 (or 2 as long as you don't have the engine idling)

browellm, yes, i have the engine running while i was doing that. so that seems like a very simple procedure, not a problem. thanks for letting me know. why the technician in bmw didn't know what's going on? now i'm worried. i don't want to take my car back there and have them do any kind of service

BMW announced that software version 12 will fix that, but they had to fix other more important stuff first.
As of now we are looking at a software update in October what will fix it. (It will be ready in late September - we'll get it October or later).

i have a problem w my car jerking when i am moving off and i'm not even acclerating hard. feels like it is unable to engage a higher gear. i have to ease off on the acc n then its fine. any idea wats wrong, my dealer doesn't?
