I took out my fog lights for my new M5 bumper, and does anyone here know how to get these two messages from appearing for 20 seconds, off my iDrive screen?

Two options...
1. Put them back in and never use them.
2. I talked to member bruce_miranda about this and he said to use a resistor for each light.( not sure how to go about doing that though)

Why are you taking your fogs out? To be honest, this is the one thing I miss the most with my new M5. I LOVED the fog lights on my 530 and hate that I don't have them anymore.

My Ride: 2006 530i. Built 5/2005. Bought by me 7/2008. Olivin Green, beige interior; 6MT; sport package; cold weather package; premium sound package; xenon lights; PDC; rear shades.

I'm not exactly sure on this... but you might need to have the dealer (or someone with the diagnostic/coding equipment) re-code your light control module to "uninstall" your fog lights (ie M5 coding). Right now the LCM is sensing that your fogs aren't there but it thinks they're supposed to be, so it's throwing the error message.
