How to replace rain sensor?

My Ride: 2010 M5 alpine white, black full leather, etc.

I maybe wrong, but I believe it is integrated into the windshield. There would be, therefore, no way to replace it.

Installation seems straight forward.
According to this it requires "initialization" and "vehicle programming/coding". I guess it requires a visit to the Dealer.

Sorry about that. When my windshield cracked, I remember having to make sure the body shop ordered the glass with the rain sensor.

There's no such thing. When the windshield is replaced, the installer has to be careful not to harm the rain sensor, etc. when he removes the old glass...
