Has anyone replaced their own rain sensor? Is it a DIY? Is there a bmw bulletin discribing how to do it?

I maybe wrong, but I believe it is integrated into the windshield. There would be, therefore, no way to replace it.

Thanks again Rudy!

Installation seems straight forward.

According to this it requires "initialization" and "vehicle programming/coding". I guess it requires a visit to the Dealer.

Sorry about that. When my windshield cracked, I remember having to make sure the body shop ordered the glass with the rain sensor.

There's no such thing. When the windshield is replaced, the installer has to be careful not to harm the rain sensor, etc. when he removes the old glass...
