How to remove M-ASK?

Only thing I can think of is that they want to avoid incompatiblties with software of sub-components, e.g. TCU etc. Could that be?

Or they want the 'old parts' to have the newest software version in case they are integrated in another car wit components having never software.

That is a very good price for 1100? including everything. May I ask from where did you get such an offer? I am also from Germany and my BMW dealer wants 2500? for the NAVI and complete installation. I was petrified with the price.

I have a September 2004 530D in Europe with the business M-ASK that has no buttons ( 1 through 6). I just bought a M-ASK off a US model that does have the buttons, and I'm guessing this one will play mp3's as well. Should I worry about any incompatibility issues?
