Have you tried goo-off on your car? It scares the hell out of me to try the stuff on the car's painted surface. Lemme know if you have and also the results.

I sure did. I did it with my E39 and my E60. Don't worry, you won't do damage to the paint or the clearcoat. You just apply a smally amount to a cloth and wipe it over the excess glue left by the badge. After the glue is off, I made sure the area was completely dry and clean and then applied some polish and wax to the area.
