Sorry to bust your bubble, but I have a 11/2005 production 550, and as 1 member here so colorfully put it, my car sounds like the @$#%$# Mayflower.
The new door seals don't help.

My Ride: 2004 March E60 530i, Titanium Silver with Black Dakota Leather, Style 124 18" Alloy, Active Steering, Adaptive headlights, Auto-Dim Int+Folding Ext Mirrors, Auto Aircon Advanced, Brushed Aluminium Trim, CD Changer, Comfort Seats, De-Chrome, Dynamic Drive, Electric Glass Sun Roof, Graduate Tinted Windscreen, Heated Front Seats, Natvigation Professional, Sport Steering wheel, Sun Protection Glass, TV function
Try this, it works for me.
Spray some WD40 on to a dry cloth and then wipe it on all door seals and the door frame on the car body (the paint work area you can see after you've opened the door)
Alternatively, you can try the WD40 pen avaiable in some stationary shops.

similar and i'll try over the weekend, then I'll let everybody know the
improvements.
My 535d (E61) is squealing on ALL the four doors every time I turn,
or I move it (start/stop)
I have also noticed, that with the door open, the noise seems to come from the door
cover (sorry for the english, I mean all the part of the door you see from inside
the car) rather than from the upper side.
thx for any additional hint on the matter

I had my door seal replaced once by dealer and it never comes back for 6 months now. Knock on wood!
Next week tuesday i've an appointment with my dealer. I hope they find a solution for this annoying problem...

Just apply the leather cleaner on the felt sills and rub ; quiet it is.

OK, i posted this problem also last week. I've seen the bulletin of BMW to replace the door seals under warranty. But... My doors are making a more squeaking noise in a lower level. I think it's coming from the door locks. I don't know what's it's the problem...

(it makes noise even when it's neat and empty !!!), i think it is because of the car frame torsion,
probably the panel try to stay in place while the door frame has to follow the rest of the structure,
which is why some lubricant should be a good try.

My Ride: Nothing to boast about!
Why should the door frames be adjusted to rid the issue? They are just moving the frame away from the body so that they don't press on the body frame so tightly which will cause the rubbing noise. To me that's not a good solution.
The powder solution, and the WD40 or even leather care that I use will reduce the friction and hence remove the noise.
It **does** work. It's been 1.5 years and the noise has not never revisited yet (touch wood). Well it does, I think I will go through the process again. Better than having my door frames moved, IMHO.

My Ride: 2006 530xi. Deep green with beige interior. 6 speed manual. Premium package.
Everyone has their own fix and I finally found mine
AND it is the easiest of anyones
NEVER clean the door seals
the more I cleaned and waxed, the louder it got
the less I did the better it got
so now just wash the outside
