I have my 525d touring that begin to have its door crackling as I had on my e46 and E38.

To solve it, I use the same method that what my dealer told me to do.

Just use baby talk powder on all the seals around the windows, I use cotton bud to put the powder in the seal where the glass window pressed on when the window is up. (Hard to explain).

After that the car is silent as it was when I bought the car!

Simple trick but very efficient!

The talk powder has as effect to remove the humidity from the seal and this is the reason why it becomes noisy!

Sorry for my english

BMW has a newer door seal part that is supposed to cure the noise problem. Did your dealer replace yours yet?

Just get them replaced.

This forum is full of these stories, please use Search (sqeaking door seals etc)!

No baby powder nor any silicone etc. will never get the problem fixed!

The BMWUSA TIS paper will help your non knowing (cheap) dealer to understand...

Sorry to bust your bubble, but I have a 11/2005 production 550, and as 1 member here so colorfully put it, my car sounds like the @$#%$# Mayflower.

The new door seals don't help.
