My Ride: 535ixT On Order: 2010 E61, Ordered 1/05, Est. Birth 3/09, Est. Delivery 4/09, Carbon Black, Cream Beige Dakota Leather, Steptronic, M-Sport Pkg., Type 135 18
Model Year: 2010

My new 535xiT has large X-Drive logos behind the front wheel openings. I think they are butt ugly and want to remove them.

Does anyone know how to do same.
  • Are they glued on with double sided tape like the model designation on the rear of the car?
  • So one would use the standard warm air and dental floss method or are the bolted on?
Thanks in advance!

Heavy duty dental floss will work, just wrap the floss around the badges and pull or saw back and forth and they will come off, it's double sided tape.....good luck, and I agree they look silly

I have had good results removing logos with mono filament ( not woven) fishing line. Be careful not to cut your fingers when you pull it through. Remaining glue will come off with WD40 and a paper towel.

Those were the first emblems to be removed on my X5. Could they be any freakin' bigger! Hahahaha!

Dental Floss
Hair Dryer
Goo Gone
Polish
Wax/Sealant

Done!
