how to change plate lights

My Ride: 2006 530i Alpine White on Black interior, Sport and Premium Package, Steptronic, Navigation, Xenon Adaptive Headlights, Mtec V2.1 angel eyes,Hoen Fog Lights, Full M-Tech kit, ACS pedals, LED plate lights, CF Steering Wheel badge, CF Titanium trim, OE
just got the led bulbs for the plate lights from trinity autosport and i can't figure out how to change the bulbs can someone help me please??!! thanks!!!

My Ride: 2008 528i: Alpine White/Creme Dakota Leather/Bamboo Anthracite Wood Trim; Premium pkg, Ipod USB (6FL), Xenons, sunroof, Eibach pro-kit 1.2" drop all around, limo tint all around. LED license plate festoons.
Soon to come: M6 replica 19" rims, Angel Eyes mod, fog light mod.

basically move the whole plastic "piece" to the left and stick something underneath the left side and pop it out.

Sorry to tread jack, but I still can't get the light out. And I completely bent the piece. I stuck flat head into the little hole on the left of it, and turn it. But it wont budge.

I just did this after running into the same trouble as you did. What you need to do is, instead of twisting, just use the screwdriver to move the entire assembly to the right (it will slide). Then, pry the left side away from the trunk to unlatch it there (I used my fingers), then slide the whole assembly back to the left and out. In my opinion the manual is not clear about exactly how to do this!
Kinda put 2 and 3 together
Came out to be really simple, all this time i was thinking "twist this thing to the left..."
They look fantastic now.
