Default HELP with Replacing Clock Spring

Has anyone replaced their clock spring? My horn and buttons on my steering wheel stopped working and Im guessing that this is the culprit. Ive checked online and some people manage to break the new one if not installed correctly. Could anyone give me some tips. Or if you have any other ideas as to what might be causing these things not to work I'd appreciate the help.

Thank you.
