My Ride: 2006 550i...Black/Auburn, Premium Pkg, Comfort Access, Cold Weather Pkg, Active Steering, Heated Rear Seats
Default

I'm attempting to put in the RPI scoop and Im running into a problem with removing the grille. I have read through a few different forums and have the link below that ive been following..
http://raceprecision.com/forums/view...php?f=13&t=119

My problem is with step one... removing the weather striping. I am removing the rubber part with out a problem but it seems like im going to break the plastic part if I keep pushing. is there a different set of instructions for a 550i?? or is this is and im just doing something wrong? thanks for any help

The guide would be the easiest way, any other way you still have to pull that plastic piece anyway... you can try pushing each of the lock tabs.

Those tabs are probably what holding when you try to pull so try to push the whole base back and pull up slowly when you can see the edge of the tabs use something to push in to release the edge ...

I just yank it up... I know it's hard to imagine...

If you haven't already done so, do a search of these forums -- I seem to remember about a dozen or so threads about removing the grille...
