For some reason my mirror doesn't tilt down sometimes when I shift into reverse. Why is that? Most of the time it works fine, but on occasion it just doesn't do it which can be annoying when you get used to it. Anyone else hove this problem? Any ideas how to fix it?
Thanks,

Thanks,
I am assuming you're referring to your passenger side mirror. You have to check the side mirror tab on your driver's door and make sure it's set properly. I think it has to be set on the driver side for the passenger side mirror to tilt when reversing.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
When it doesn't tilt, switch the side mirror selector and it should then tilt as per usual!

My car was hit and the mirror was damaged. It turned out all that I needed to replace was the mirror and the cover. Until I got the mirror my dad got a mirror that put one in there. I didn't realize it until later but the type of mirror he put on did not allow for it to tilt. So I figured the motor was burned up. I replaced the glass and it didn't tilt for about 2 weeks. Then one day it started tilting again and has worked again since. Kinda strange, there were no error messages in i-drive about either.
