I am about to hardwire a uk "new road angel" speed camera detector. I noted DD had picked up the power from the fuse box behind the glovebox. DD or anyone else ...can you give me a little more detail on connector type, which circuit you connected to and where you took the ground connection from?

Thanks in anticipation.

Just to clear up a minor technicality, those instructions are actually from Don Juan Cassanova and not juan2mini...

Thanks Don!

Thanks for the correction, Rudy. No wonder I had a problem with the search feature.

I asked the Romanian BMW Dealership about adding a radar detector that is not powered from the cigarette lighting slot. They said that any adittion to the car that is not from the factory (including alarms) will make you lose the waranty for the elctrical systems of your car. Make shure you ask this to your dealer or service.
