Anyone out there tell me where to go to get the best deal on H&R springs for my '05 530i? I live in San Diego, California. Also, will I be able to fit staggered 20's (20x8.5 front, 20x9.5 back) rub once I lower the car and load the car up with 4 adults? Any tire size recommendations?

Howdy fellow San Diegan,
You can try Ebay for the best deal on H&R Sport springs or wait around the Classified section here and hope someone puts one up for sale. Craigslist might be another good source. I have 20x9 and 20x10 wheels lowered on H&R Sport springs. I use to rub but that was due to the aggressive offsets of the wheels. Rolling my fenders fixed the problem 90%. The 10% where I still rub ever so slightly is when making a right turn at an incline. I'm think about switching to 245/30/20 and 285/25/20. Right now I'm riding on 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. By switching to the lower profile tires, it'll eliminate the rubbing entirely but unfortunately at the expense of ride quality.

Vegastrashed, thanks for the info. The lower profile tire size matches up with what I was about to order from Discount Tire. I'm thinking about leaving the stock springs in because I don't want to roll the fenders. Will the gap between the fender and wheels be more than one and a half inches if I leave the stock springs in?

Here is what 20" wheels look like on stock springs. If you're okay with that then go for it. Tire size are 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. They're Nitto NT555.

That looks fine to me. I imagine with a couple passangers, sub box and a cooler of beer, the car would be just right. I would kill for those rims. Nice match.
