Hey guy's, where can I find my engine model #? I have an 06' 530(SP) Sept. 05' build. Also, I went to change my air filter (god only knows why my dealer didn't do it when I had my oil changed last) and I noticed what I guess is a sensor cable plugged into the air intake box. Normally I would just unplug it, and continue, but I noticed some odd looking marking on it, and I assume that it must have something to do with the I drive's abilty to monitor the air intake, so knowing how electronically anal this car can be, I didn't want to yank out any cables without being absolutely sure that doing so won't make it angry with me Anybody with knowledge about this please feel free.

Thanks

I believe that it is pluged into the duct not the box. It is the Mass Air Flow sensor. You don't have to remove it to change the filter. Just loosen the hose clamp around the duct and rotate the top of the box out of the way.
