You're quite welcome, Rick.

As for covering the rotors where the brakes grab, I wouldn't bother. Brand new rotors (the entire unit) come painted from the factory, which gets rubbed off with one good drive around the block...just like it does with the rust that builds up after a wash, and the same will happen with any over-spray from this project. I know this because I had new rotors installed at 9600 miles on the xi and was surprised to see the whole unit was painted silver...makes sense though, to prevent rusting during storage.

But, either way, it's an easy fix that really returns the rotors and calipers to better than new...at least from a looks standpoint.

I couldn't be happier at this point. My wheels are on the way and rotors look great. Now I just need to check and see if BMW has the touch up paint for my car and work some magic like westcoast550 stated.

Thanks Guys....

Rick, parts should carry touch-up paint for your ride. However, I had to order mine for the Silverstone...not as commonly requested. Luckily I didn't pay for it....Speaking of gashes in rear bumpers:

Dave,

that is definitely upsetting. That's how i felt when I saw mine. I'm going to call BMW tomorrow and order the touch up paint.

Rick...

Nice work. I started to do this job once but then chicken out for fear of overspraying other unwanted parts. So decided to search for high temperature paint that could be brush applied but then never got around to it.

Just curious to know why aren't you using the jacking points on the car?
