Hey, didn't see DIY for any kind of engine painting so I thought I would make one just in case any one else was wanting to do the same thing. I attached the 5 images below which pretty much sums things up. I used VHT engine enamel which is extremely heat resistant.

Step 1 - Make sure you sand down everything very, very well.
Step 2 - After you get done sanding, spray and clean THOROUGHLY with a degreaser.
Step 3 - Spray about 8 inches back from the piece and go at it from different angles. Apply a thin, basic coat the first time.
Step 4 - I did 2 coats after that between intervals of about 15 mins.
Step 5 - Let sit for a few hours then good to go.
