Reviving this post. Anyone able to get rear fog lights on their E60 enabled? I'm US military in Belgium and would like to find a clean solution... Thanks!

I don't know what the OP was talking about but that switch he had was for the front fog lights.

I know what you are going through because I was in the same boat. They let me get away with LED lights in the bumper reflective spot. I think they still sell them on eBay. It is the cleanest look you will get and all you have to do is wire them up which took me around 30 mins from start to finish. Go back and ask will that suffice and install them. I'll find the ones I put in and post them

Or you can find the actual light switch with the 2 fog light buttons (on European switch has it) and switch it out. The switch is plug and play. You rear fog will turn on when you press the button which is the inner bulb of the tail lights

Thanks, I will take your photo to the inspectors and verify that the LED solution will make me street legal in Belgium. Alternatively, I might try a hard-wire splice of the front fog light wire to the wire for the rear ones like this post. That would allow me to avoid buying/changing out the light switch panel altogether. I'll let you know how it goes in a couple months after my car arrives!
