I would like to know too. It was an easy plug and play on my E90.

I did the same on my E90. Just order the European light switch (it has an extra button on it that's blanked out on the US version) and it's plug and play. Might be as simple on the E60.

Just what it sounds like. A bright red light at the rear of your car to make you more visible to the cars behind you in bad weather (rain, fog, snow). It works independently of the brake and parking lights. It's standard on most European cars IN EUROPE, but not standard here in the US, except for maybe some Volvo and Audi models. It also helps sometimes when someone's riding your tail and you want them to back off.

Ahh, that's true huh. How interesting. I would like that activated as well. Tailgaters can be aggravating, especially in traffic.

It looks like E60 (not sure about latest model years), does not have rear fog light. I think M5 has that but not E60

It is the two round lights on the tails. I too would like to know about this. I have been looking on ebay europe for a left handed light switch with the rear fog button. I think the round bulbs in te tails have the dual filament that would indicate to me that it has two different voltages, unless that is strictly for the OMG I am breaking lights that we have when the traction control kicks in while braking. Do any Euro members have rear fogs that could post up a picture of the light switch and the rear fogs on?
