Haha, I didn't watch the video all the way through, but saw about half way. You are mistaken if you think it is suppose to just slide forward to come out. Looks like you didn't remove the 5 top screws holding the bumper, which would make the removal much easier since you can full on the front of the bumper.

With that said, it is still possible to remove the headlights by just the 4 screw removal. However, you really have to play with the angling.

take the front bumper off. it's not that hard to do, and makes headlight removal 10,000 times easier. at a minimum, remove the upper half of the front bumper.

5 Top screws? I thought there were only 4 I had to take out.

Are you serious? That sounds like way more work. What bumper are you talking about...the one infront of the car?

You can take both xenon headlight out by removing few headlight screws and plastic headlight bulb cover, it's going to be very tight to slide them out but possible (I just did it few weeks ago with bumper on). Also put some masking tape so you don't scratch the paint on your bumper.

A simple 20 minute angel eye bulb replacement job took me fricken 3 hours because of the angling of the stupid headlights. I've taken the headlights off most of my past cars and non was remotely as difficult as the e60 headlights. I also scratched the paint on my bumper in the process. Like the previous poster noted, put some masking tape in the area under the headlights. I wish I knew about that earlier. Goodluck with the jigsaw puzzle headlights!

Read carefully again. Five screws on top of the bumper. Didn't quite realize I had to spell everything out, but you remove the rubber cushion on top of the bumper to expose those screws.

It very much literally takes me less than 10 minutes to take both headlights out from start to finish.
