Okay, I am sorry if the wording offended anyone
I have a 2006 530i (N52), automatic transmission/sport package. Every once in a while, when I stop at a red light, I can feel my car do a silent one. I could not smell anything but often noticed a random shock wave (a pop with no sound in the engine bay?). And when I turn on the air conditioner, it tends to do more often. I am the original owner and have always used 92 octane? (the highest octane you can get a Chevron). Every two months, I also added two bottles of Chevron Techron.
Please share your experience(s) or inputs. What could it be? Fuel Injector? Fuel Pump? Gastrointestinal Disorder? Too much beans?
But seriously, the problem is real and I want to get rid of it.
Thank you in advance for you help.
Daniel

I don't think it's your car, though.
My case is different. With all seriousness, the short pop with no sound in the engine bay is for real.
Anyone experts out there who can help without diverting their personal problem to Taco bell?

Try a brand name gas station to make sure you are getting top quality fuel. If you are already go to a different place for a few fill ups. I drive past 5 stations to get the one I want to use.
Maybe the intake valves need some cleaning. Techron in the fuel tank is doing nothing for your intake.

I use Chevron because I thought they provide top tier gas in Southern Cali. Although, their gas has techron in it already, I would still pour a couple bottles every two to three months. I am pretty particular when it comes to preventing my fuel lines from getting contaminated.
I have 65,000 miles on my car. New plugs sounds like a good start. Do I get one or six?
I will do some research on intake valves when I get a chance.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I would say start with the most simple - new plugs.
