Has anyone performed a DIY clutch on an SMG equipped e60? So I need the GT-1 software to bleed the clutch actuator?

I'm pretty sure you have to remove the tranny to swap out the clutch and flywheel, making a DIY very hard.

replacing the clutch is the same as a regular clutch on any other vehicle. the only exception is the hydraulic shift actuator which is attached to the side. As long as you dont open any of the hydraulic lines, you should be fine. The actuator basically replaces the slave cylinder on a normal cutch transmission.

Unfortunately I didn't take any pics but I repaired everything. While it was out I replaced the clutch, water pump, engine mounts, spark plug tubes, cam cover gasket, valve cover gaskets and the oil pressure switch. Right now I'm trying figure out why I have an passenger SRS fault message. It wasn't there prior to removal of the engine. I haven't driven it yet but I have seen the dreaded gearbox fault message yet.
