I recently purchased a bass boat that had a perfect hull and motor. The only flaw was the carpet and seats. I decided they both needed to be replaced. I took the boat in for an estimate and was quoted $1500 for both the seats and carpet. EFFFFF THAT! :P I gotta get my headers and oil cooler... that guy must have been crazy!
After doing some research online I decided it was something I could do myself. I found the exact marine carpet locally for $170 (144 sq. ft.), found a shop to reupholster the seats for $300, and spent $50 on misc. stuff @ home depot. Total build/material cost: $520. I just finished up the carpet today and will be picking up the seats next week. It took a total of four days working on average 3 hours per day. Here are some pics...all comments are welcome. Thanks for looking This is what carpet looked like before.
