2 Attachment(s)
I went to the local Pepboys store to buy Redline 75-W90 oil when I noticed this cabin air filter for Dodge Charger\Magnum and Chrysler 300.
Attachment 92639 This one is made of activated carbon just like the OEM(RealOEM.com list for $49.36 Each). Attachment 92640 So, to make the story short, some hot glue sticks and cardboard(from the packaging) and some trimmings, I made a homemade cabin air filter. cost: Purolator C35677 $12.99 (Need two) Hot Glue Sticks $ 6.00 Mod Fix= Priceless :P |

hi rizbel, nice DIY..
where is exactly this filter box located??.. i have problem with the AC, seems like the outside odour somehow manage to get inside the cabin.. no matter i push the auto cycle or cabin cycle, i still can smell the gas from a diesel truck front of me.. its noticeable when the car stuck in traffic jam.. so thinking to replace the cabin filter.. |

I just replaced the microfilters myself which was long overdue. This is gotta be the easliest DIY maintenance, I've ever done. The whole process took less than 5 minutes. And I saved myself almost $150. The stealer wants $190 for this service, I said "No, thanks." and then ordered the OEM filters from eBay for $42 shipped.
Thanks Rizbel for the DIY instructions. |
Search again guys should be about 23.00 shipped from a company in West Covina, CA

how come i did reset the 300miles left warning, and it rounds up back to 100,000miles remain, and well loll it stays like that till today
anyone know ? |
does the 2008 550i have one or two microfilter(s)? and why would it need two if it actually does? Is the charcoal filter better or the plain cotton filters?
|
hahah awesome!!!
